Bill Ryan Memorial Children's Book Art Collection

The Bill Ryan Memorial Children's Book Art Collection was established in May 1998 by the Friends of the Wells Public Library. The collection was created with memorial donations given to the library after Mr. Ryan's death. Bill Ryan had been a longtime member of the Wells Public Library Board of Trustees and the Friends of the Wells Public Library.
This collection introduces children to original art, letting them see the creative process and fostering recognition of talented Maine artists. It is visible in the children's area of the library during library hours. Near the collection you will find a permanent display of copies of the children's books for which the artwork was created. Circulating copies are also available.
