Services for the Homebound

The Wells Public Library offers home book delivery in the Town of Wells to anyone who is homebound or physically unable to go to the library. We can deliver regular or large print books, audio books, and magazines. A library staff member will pick up and deliver the materials regularly, as well as assist with reading selections. Take advantage of this free service by calling the library at 207-646-8181 or emailing libstaff@wellstown.org.

Services for the Blind or Visually Impaired

The Wells Public Library offers a collection of Large Print books for patrons with visual impairments. We also offer audio books on CD or e-books that can be downloaded to a tablet or smartphone. In addition, Maine residents who are blind or visually impaired are eligible for services from the Maine State Library's Outreach Services. For more information about their services, please visit their website.
